Dorì was born in Italy, from research by the University of Udine and the University of Bologna on the yellow-fleshed kiwifruit variety. After starting out in Italy, the cultivation of Dorì spread to northern Europe and then to the southern hemisphere, allowing for yellow kiwis to be enjoyed all year round.

From October to January, Dorì is harvested in various Italian regions. From there, the yellow kiwi travels to reach tables all over the world.

From Greece to Portugal, via France and Spain: Dorì cultivation in Europe ensures a high supply of Dorì to meet the high demand during the autumn and winter months.
